The act of photographing is not just documenting – it’s noticing with intention.
The weekend before last there was a Hollywood Orchard pick of cactus. Wild prickly pear cactus picking is kind of like wild blackberry picking. The cactus is everywhere, they grow gorgeous (and yummy) fruit but pickers beware there prickly parts are plentiful that if you don’t use the right super protective gloves you feel days later.
I'm a photographer, designer and mom and absolutely love taking pictures. The experience from taking photos to editing them is so rewarding. I love how photos from these fleeting moments can beautifully augment our memories of people, times and places and create a feeling of nostalgia and immediacy at the same time.
